With everyone’s busy schedule in mind, One River CPAs has adopted client portals in order to facilitate the exchange of tax documents securely. This new process has proven to be an efficient and effective way for clients to get their taxes done by our team.
Our client portal allows everyone to upload their tax documents without putting any information at risk. With the insecure nature of e-mail, One River CPAs understands the importance of creating a client portal in order to ensure that no one’s information falls into the wrong hands. It is a speedy, safe, and secure way to exchange sensitive documents. All our clients have to do is visit our website, click on our portal sign-in, and use their unique username and password to sign in and upload their documents. This will then notify the One River Team that client documents have been submitted.
Once documents have been uploaded, One River will begin preparing the tax return. It is normal for accountants to reach out to clients at this time in order to address any questions or acquire additional information needed. After the client has provided answers and documents for any open items, we will complete the return without ever having to set up a time for clients to come into the office. The assigned tax advisor will then call and let the client know that it is complete. The return will be sent via e-mail and is password protected to ensure that all the information remains safe outside the portal. The last step is to sign the form 8879 and send it back to us for electronic processing on the client’s behalf.
