Jeff joined our team in early 2021 as a member of the Gibson LeClair, LLC staff. His expertise lies in compliance testing and he works as the firm’s Audit Supervisor.
Before One River
Before One River, Jeff worked at the Office of the State Auditor (OSA) for seven years and spent most of that time as a Senior Auditor. He performed financial and compliance audits in support of the State’s single audit and also coordinated OSA’s Fraud hotline. Jeff was responsible for performing any fraud related investigations that the State Auditor felt needed to be investigated more closely.
Prior to OSA, Jeff established and enforced paternity and child support orders for the State of Maine in the Downeast region. He represented the State in all forms of legal hearings, and became very familiar/comfortable with Judicial process and Administrative hearings.
He has also driven long-haul Tractor trailers professionally, and done security and customer service work in several environments.
At One River
Currently at One River, Jeff is focusing on the different processes of Governmental and Non Profit audits. he has been working on and responsible for compliance of the audits the firm is currently engaged in. Jeff also teaches methods and processes to lesser experienced staff and leads audits as assigned.
Besides One River
Jeff is a member of AICPA, and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. He is also a Notary Public. When not working, Jeff can be found working on home and land improvements that preferably require use of his tractor.

In hopes to be able to be an asset and assist others.
What do you do on April 16th?
Work – this will be my first year with Public accounting firm so I have not experienced this yet.

I went to college for Equine Management; I drove Tractor trailer for a while, and have maintained my class A license
What is one of your biggest accomplishments?
Passing the CPA exam
