    • The (potential) 20% Deduction Business Owners Should Understand (11/20/2018) - Last December, one of the biggest (real news) headlines was the drastic tax reform working its way through the legislative process. The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) was officially signed into law by President Trump on December 22, 2017 and it represents the most comprehensive tax reform in decades. • Pay Attention When You Get Paid (1/17/2018) - Over the past couple of months, it has been hard to avoid the noise coinciding with what is formally known as the Tax Cuts & Jobs Act. • Business New Year’s Resolutions (1/15/2018) - Every year, as we turn the calendar from one from one year to the next, many of us contemplate self-imposed resolutions as a means of improvement. Q & A…

Why do you do what you do?

I went to college with a general interest in business. After taking an accounting class during my freshman year I became intrigued. I like that accounting lets us get down to the bones of a business, and I enjoy the strategic component that comes into play when helping clients with tax work.

What is the best advice you’ve ever received?

My grandfather was the one who told me that, “it doesn’t matter what you do, as long as you are the best one doing it”.

    What is your biggest accomplishment?

The apple of my eye! My daughter was born at 7:02 PM on July 27th, 2018 and caring for her has been nothing short of spectacular. While I have been short on sleep ever since, my heart has never been more full. Outside of the office my life is completely encapsulated by my family and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

What do you do on April 16th?

Usually, I sleep. Preferably on a hammock, while I work on my sunburn.

    What is your favorite movie?

    Caddyshack

What is something people might not know about you?

I’ll take a good book over a good movie 7 days a week.
