Alison LorenzAlison joined the team in 2006, and she has been an integral part of the tax department’s continued growth. A Maine native, Alison now lives in Kingfield, Maine, with her two children.

Before One River

Alison earned her M.B.A from the University of New Hampshire and her B.S. from the University of Maine. She worked for an investment company where she specialized in the accounting of derivative securities, internal control compliance, and internal audit preparation and review.

At One River

Alison works closely with people and businesses to prepare tax returns and help them plan their short and long-term goals. She is our multi-state tax specialist, with clients in many other states and some international clients as well. Alison works with the audit department, and she prepares compiled and reviewed financial statements for businesses, as well as personal financial statements for high net worth individuals.

Why do you do what you do?

I love the fast-paced environment during tax season. I love to do taxes and help people with their filing requirements.

What is something people might not know about you? 

I love to garden (flower gardens), and I am shy in large or in unfamiliar groups. 

What is one of your biggest accomplishments? 

ECAC Women’s college ice hockey player of the year, passing the CPA exam, and having two kids who are well behaved enough to take out in public!
